Meagan Powell has been a teacher and Director at Essex Bridge Center since 2002.

Her specialty is teaching Beginner and Low Intermediate students, helping them move forward in their Bidding and Play techniques.  Meagan is the leader of a team of teachers at Essex who have presented Beginning Bridge to over 1,500 students.

Rosalind Powell purchased Essex Bridge Center in 1995 with her husband, Ken, and son, Alan.  Roz is the architect of the Beginning Bridge program at Essex, providing a strong foundation for new players and new Bridge teachers.   Roz has also created many lessons and workshops  on Bidding, Defense, and Play of the Hand.

Alan has been a teacher and Director at Essex Bridge Center since the Powells purchased the Club in 1995. Alan is a co-author of the Modern Bidding Techniques book used by players across the country.

Alan has been teaching Advanced Bridge Bidding, Defense, and Play of the Hand for 25 years, mentoring thousands of players as they make their way from Beginner through Open-level games.
